Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
At DoctorDocs ("we", "our", or "us"), your privacy and the absolute security of your documents are our highest priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how it is used, and how we protect your data when you use our document processing, OCR, and AI analysis tools.
2. Document Security & Zero-Retention Policy
We operate under a strict privacy-first architecture depending on the tool you use:
- Local Browser Tools: Core utilities (like PDF merging, splitting, and basic image conversions) run entirely locally within your web browser using WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.
- AI & OCR Processing: When using advanced tools (like Handwriting Analysis or Prescription OCR), your images are securely transmitted over SSL/TLS to our isolated processing servers or enterprise API partners (such as Anthropic or Google Cloud).
- Zero Retention: Files sent for processing are temporarily held in volatile RAM, processed instantly, and immediately deleted. We do NOT maintain databases of your documents, nor do we use your documents to voluntarily train public AI models.
3. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to ensure the functionality of our platform:
- Usage Data: We may use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to collect anonymous diagnostics (e.g., browser type, pages visited) to improve our UI/UX.
- Account Information: If you upgrade to a Premium plan, we collect necessary account information (email address) and billing details. Payments are processed securely via Razorpay; we do not store raw credit card numbers.
4. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies
To keep our core tools free for everyone, we use third-party advertising companies, specifically Google AdSense, to serve ads when you visit our website.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
For more specific details on how we utilize tracking cookies, please review our comprehensive Cookie Policy.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We may share anonymous, non-document data with third-party vendors who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users (e.g., hosting providers like Vercel, payment processors like Razorpay, and analytics providers). These parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and GDPR, CCPA, and Indian DPDP Act 2023 compliant data processing addendums.
6. DPDP Act 2023 & User Rights
In compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because we do not store your documents or require an account for core tools, there is generally no specific identifiable persona data to delete. However, for active premium subscribers or email newsletter opt-ins, you may exercise your right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten") at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer below.
7. Children's Privacy
DoctorDocs does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. We will notify you of any defining changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
8. Contact Us
